Modern Living Surrounded by Green Spaces

A new housing park shall replace the former US housing area on Fliegerstrasse. The bungalows and blocks from the 1950s shall be demolished, new houses shall be built. The old trees will remain and the vast green spaces will be kept. This is the concept of the PRE GmbH.

The last time a completely new John Deere site commenced operation was back in 1981, when John Deere Werke Bruchsal launched the production of cabins. Almost 30 years later, our company now opens up a new chapter of its European company history with the new "Kaiserslautern Site".

Another company has settled in Kaiserslautern. Yesterday, the technology and innovation center of the agriculural machinery manufacturer John Deere was inaugurated at the PRE Park. The new building cost ten million euros; 200 high-skill jobs will be created.

An important signal in economically difficult times is what Hendrik Hering, Minister of Economic Affairs, called the laying of the foundation for the European Technology and Innovation Center of John Deere at PRE Park yesterday. How important it is for John Deere to have come to Kaiserslautern was also stressed by an important visitor from the United States. Klaus Höhn, Vice-President of the US agricultural machinery manufacturer, had traveled here from the company’s headquarters in Moline, Illinois.

Insiders Continues to Grow

The software specialist Insiders Technologies GmbH located at the PRE Park has rapidly grown in recent years. The company wants to further increase profits and revenues and hire additional employees in 2008 as well. This was announced yesterday by CEO Werner Weiss during a visit to the company by Lord Mayor Klaus Weichel.
